We're looking for motivated researchers who want to work on causal machine learning and spatiotemporal data science for Earth systems.
We welcome applications from prospective PhD and MS students in Data Science and related fields who are interested in causal inference, deep learning, spatiotemporal data mining, or applications to Earth and climate science. A background in machine learning, statistics, or programming (Python) is helpful but not required; curiosity and strong fundamentals matter most.
Motivated undergraduates interested in gaining hands-on research experience in data science and machine learning are encouraged to reach out, even without prior research experience.
We're open to collaborations with researchers and labs working on causal ML, Earth informatics, and related areas.
Interested students should email Dr. Sahara Ali directly at sahara.ali@unt.edu with a CV/resume and a brief statement of research interests. Applicants to the PhD or MS program should also review the UNT Department of Data Science admissions requirements.
